Brief
We delivered a 4-hour, in-person AI training day for Football West, bringing together 50+ staff in a full room to get hands-on with leading AI tools. The session focused on practical skills, real examples, and Football West–specific ideas, so the team could start using AI confidently in their day-to-day work from the very next week.
Problem
Football West wanted their team to understand not just what AI is, but how to actually use it in a practical, sports-organisation context. With so many tools emerging so quickly, it was hard for staff to know where to start, which tools to trust, and how AI could realistically save time across their roles. They needed a structured, engaging way to:
- Upskill staff on modern AI tools
- Build confidence using AI in day-to-day tasks
- Uncover concrete use cases tailored to Football West’s operations
All without overwhelming the team or drifting into theory.
Solution
We ran a 4-hour, in-person AI workshop designed specifically for Football West’s team. The session combined live demos, guided practice, and collaborative brainstorming. Over the course of the workshop, we:
- Showcased powerful, practical AI tools including HeyGen, Replit, Suno, and a large range of other useful tools
- Upskilled staff in ChatGPT, walking through image generation, the large range of features and showing how to structure prompts for better, more reliable outputs
- Explored new AI capabilities such as video generation and creative content tools, all framed around day-to-day use in an organisation like Football West
- Facilitated a group brainstorm, where each table mapped out custom AI use cases for Football West, generating unique ideas tied directly to their own workflows The workshop was interactive and relaxed, with plenty of laughs as people experimented with tools for the first time, while still keeping a strong focus on practical outcomes.
Result
By the end of the session, Football West’s staff left with:
- A curated list of AI tools they could start using immediately to streamline repetitive tasks and work more efficiently
- Greater confidence using AI, especially around how to prompt ChatGPT effectively and integrate AI into their existing workflows
- A set of Football West–specific AI ideas, captured from each table’s brainstorm, highlighting where AI can remove friction and create more time for high-value work The organisation now has both the skills and concrete ideas needed to move forward with AI in a structured, practical way.
